My friend Matthew is a fierce photographer from Chicago, and he's doing a photography workshop with the kids in the camp. Check out this photo from from my girl Safaa, who's 12: I got to go around with some of the kids as they took pictures, and they really loved it and it make them feel good to have an opportunity to show the outside world what their lives are really like, and not the bullshit that's in the media all the time. So not only do the kids get to do something constructive, positive, and artistic, the project is also helping get the real story of Palestine out there.
